In 2017 two brilliant but separate independent bakery manufacturers were available for acquisition, due to retirement. We believe in the importance of British Manufacturing and that a food group offers strength and versatility, therefore eighteen months of due diligence commenced.

Founded by two enthusiastic young bakers, Mr Peck and Mr Strong, Peck and Strong quickly became a successful example of high quality innovative cake baking, specialising in traditional methods using the very best quality ingredients. John Peck has been the sole owner for many years, developing a reputation for Baking Brilliance within the industry. Today Peck and Strong is still currently managed by John Peck and continues to go from strength to strength, with wonderful savoury products adding to the strong foodservice product portfolio.
Founded in Rugby by John Dwyer who’s now enjoying a well earned retirement, John Dwyer Bakery is a wholesale bread bakery, specialising in traditionally baked morning rolls, loaves, specialist bread and confectionary. John built a reputation as a high quality craft baker, who combined the latest in manufacturing technology with hand picked quality ingredients, building a successful and respected business. We aim to build on John’s recipes and principles to grow the business within it’s current market and to bake for The UK Foodhall Ltd schools.
